JC 1 Booster Classes
Designed for students entering JC2 in 2027, our JC1 Economics Booster Classes help students strengthen their J1 Economics foundations, which make up around 50% of the A-Level assessment scope, while preparing them for the greater demands of JC2.
What Students Will Learn
1. Strengthen Key J1 Content
Consolidate important J1 topics and concepts, and address common areas of weakness before JC2 begins.
2. Apply Economics to Questions
Learn how to identify what a question is asking, select the right economic concepts, and apply them accurately to the given context.
3. Develop Answering Frameworks
Learn clear structures for tackling case-study and essay questions, instead of simply memorising content.
4. Improve Analysis & Evaluation
Develop stronger economic reasoning by explaining chains of effects, considering different perspectives and making well-supported judgements.
5. Strengthen Exam Technique
Learn how to interpret command words, manage time, prioritise marks and avoid common mistakes that cost students marks.
Goal: Enter JC2 with stronger J1 foundations and greater confidence in applying Economics under exam conditions.

Economics Headstart Programme
Get a head start on JC Economics before the academic year begins.
Designed for students entering JC1 in 2027, our Headstart Classes introduce the essential ways economists think, analyse and make decisions — so students begin JC with confidence rather than encountering Economics for the first time.
Students will learn:
- Rational Decision-Making — how individuals, firms and governments make choices
- Opportunity Cost — understanding the real cost behind every decision
- Economic Frameworks — structured ways to break down and analyse economic problems
- Thinking at the Margin — why good decisions often depend on the next unit, not the total
- Applying Economics to the Real World — using economic concepts to understand everyday choices, businesses and government policies
- JC Economics Foundations — building the analytical thinking and vocabulary needed for more advanced topics ahead
The goal is not to rush through the JC syllabus. It is to build the economic intuition and thinking frameworks that make Economics much easier to understand once JC begins.
